Each year, the Pennsylvania Legislature designates Local Government Week to recognize the vital role local officials play in shaping strong, responsive communities across the Commonwealth. It is also a time to highlight the importance of understanding how local government directly impacts residents and businesses every day.
As part of this annual observance, the Governor’s Center for Local Government Services hosts its Local Government Day celebration, where the Governor’s Awards for Local Government Excellence are presented. These awards honor individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation, and long-term commitment to improving the quality of life in their communities.
This year, PSATC President Todd Miller of Crescent Township was recognized with the Career Recognition Award, a distinction that reflects a career dedicated to public service and meaningful impact.
